All our products are designed to be used outdoors. We cannot guarantee they will look ‘new’ after a number of years being exposed to the weather depending on the product but you can apply a sealant to provide added protection (not required for the glazed Decor Ceramics range). This will help protect the surface from staining and prevent absorption of water, reducing the potential for cracking from frosts.

It is particularly important to seal terracotta pots (such as our Riversland range) both inside and outside prior to planting.

The type and quality of planting mix is really important as it provides the foundation for growing healthy, beautiful plants. Not all planting mixes are the same. I recommend that you don’t scrimp here and buy the best quality – typically made with a combination of bark, pumice and compost with slow release fertiliser and wetting agent added. Don’t use topsoil as it will tend to compact over time compromising air and water movement, making it harder for your plants to grow well and it will be difficult to wet the pot to depth, as well as introducing weeds. Don’t use a compost as it will be too rich for plants to grown healthily.

We recommend container mixes rather than potting mixes as they have a coarser texture which helps with aeration and drainage whilst retaining the right amount of water for optimum palm, tree and shrub growth.

This delivery period covers the time from order and allows for production, shipping and customs clearance, building in a safety factor for international shipping delays currently being experienced due to COVID. Depending on order cycles, some products will be able to be provided more quickly. We will provide a more accurate estimation of delivery time when we receive a product enquiry.

Most of our pots in the Atlantis, Ocean Rock and Décor Ceramics range can be turned into a water feature, allowing you to choose a pot you love.

The inside of the pot will need to be waterproofed and a hole drilled in the base to allow a piece of rigid pipe to move the water from the reservoir or collector pot via a pump to create a bubbling outlet.

We recommend sealing the outside of the pot with a matt clear sealant to protect the integrity of the pot given it will have water flowing over it (not required for the Décor Ceramics Range). The cost of the conversion materials to do this would be around $100.00 – $150.00 (cost of the pot, the reservoir or reservoir pot and a pump additional.
